SYNOPSIS
The malaysian data centre market have seen an accelerated growth for the past 24 months. While it contributes to the FDI and DDI, it also contribute to higher power and water demands which puts a strain on the environment. I will be sharing some insights into what are the key considerations when it comes to the design, build and operations of a DC.
BIODATA OF SPEAKER
Mr. Stephen Ewe Data Centre Product Development and Management
Mr. Stephen Ewe overlooks the Data Centre Product Development and Management portfolio at Telekom Malaysia Berhad. Passionate about being part of the force in driving innovation in Data Centres development and operations towards a more sustainable Data Centre industry. He is a practitioner of the Uptime Institute and TIA-942 standards for Data Centres and is Accredited Tier Professional (ATP) and Certified TIA-942 Design Consultant (CTDC). He holds a Bsc (Hons) in Computing Information System from University of Lincoln, UK and MBA from the Imperial College of London. In recent years we are seeing a massive build up of data centres in Malaysia. This have caused a strain in our electricity and water supply. This session will focus on the current data centre mechanical and electrical design I see employed today in the industry and how the changing of the workloads continues to drives its evolution with a focus on the environment. Join me in this journey of getting to know the data centre industry better.
