1.    Datuk Ir. Rosaline Ganendra

For over four decades, Datuk Ir. Rosaline Ganendra has been the visionary force behind monumental engineering feats, stretching across twenty-three nations. Her unwavering commitment to excellence has birthed alternative approaches built on accountability, transparency, fairness, quality and responsibility - sacred principle that guided her through her every step. Strategic planning, customer management, timely project delivery - the breadth of her expertise knows no bounds. A fierce champion of Corporate Social Responsibility, Rose sees her employees as the heartbeat of success, their voices cherished and valued in every endeavor. Collaborating across borders, she embraces diversity and cherishes the art of client management.

A trailblazer for female engineers, Rose's name resonates among the stars of the industry. 2.    Y.Bhg. Dato' Ir. Nor Hisham Mohd Ghazalli

Dato’ Ir. Nor Hisham Mohd. Ghazali is an independent non-executive director at Pengurusan Asset Air Berhad and Chairman of the Malaysian Water Partnership. He was the Director-General of the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia (DID) from February 2020 to November 2021 before becoming the Director-General of the National Institute of Water Research Malaysia (NAHRIM) where he retired in August 2022. He holds a B.Sc. in Civil Engineering from California State University and a Masters’ Degree in Coastal and Maritime Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.

Specialising in coastal engineering and erosion control, he was instrumental in adapting state-of-the-art technology into DID’s coastal engineering program and pioneered the government’s Integrated Shoreline Management Program. Dato’ Nor Hisham has over 35 years of service and experience in operational, technical, research, management and policy positions. At the directorate level, he has overseen all aspects of organisational management from project development, information management to governance and performance audit. His direct involvement in major field events, such as the 2004 tsunami and post-2014 east coast floods, has equipped him with unique experience of water-related disaster risk management.

His notable achievements include establishing the National Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre and the planning and construction of the first concrete Sabo structures in Malaysia to mitigate debris and mud flood flows following the 2021 mud flood disaster at Yan and Kuala Muda, Kedah. Since retirement, his time is divided between creating education and awareness programmes on Integrated Water Resources Management and consultancy engagements on coastal engineering and ESG.

1.    Ir. Sharifah Azlina Raja Kamal Pasmah

Ir. Sharifah Azlina Raja Kamal Pasmah is the Director & Chief Executive Officer of HSS Integrated Sdn. Bhd., HSS Engineering Sdn. Bhd. and BIM Global Ventures Sdn. Bhd. She is also the director of HSS International Sdn. Bhd. and HSS Propick Technologies Sdn. Bhd. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from Memphis, USA in 1990 and completed her Master of Business Administration in UK, year 2012. Ir. Sharifah Azlina, a Professional Engineer with Practising Certificate with the Board of Engineers, Malaysia, is also a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (FIEM), an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer and a member of the International Professional Engineer, IntPE(MY).

She served as the BEM Board member (2022 -2023), and is part of the following BEM sub-committee: BEM Engineers Act (2019-2022) BEM Working Group (WG) for BIM; BEM Guidelines on Integrity Management System for ECP and the Chairman for BEM ESG WG. She was the Council member of the Association of Consulting Engineers Malaysia (2019-2021) and Honorary Secretary (2021-2022 & 2023 -2024) and is also the committee member of Financial and Administration committee. She is a Principal Interviewer for IEM’s Professional Interview/Professional Assessment Examinations and served as a committee member for the IEM Women Engineers Section (2009 – 2020).

She was the Vice - Chairman of Session 2012 to 2014. She also steered the team into forming the Women Engineers Section at the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organization (AFEO) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia in the year 2012 and was awarded the Honorary Member of AFEO in 2020. Other committees include Council Member of the Malaysia Rail Industry Corporation (MARIC) since 2022; Member of Building Smart Malaysia Chapter since 2016; Member of Suruhanjaya Perkhidmatan Air Negara (SPAN); Industry Advisory Panel (IAP) for Monash University Malaysia since 2019; University Teknologi Petronas since 2022 and Tuanku Abdul Rahman UMT since 2022. Ir. Sharifah Azlina was part of the senior management team in the successful listing of HSS Engineers Bhd. to the KL Stock Exchange, and serves as the Board of Director of HEB, promoting gender diversity and a greater women representation at senior management and board level. Ir. Sharifah Azlina has over 34 years of experience within the engineering consultancy industry and has led numerous prestigious projects locally and on international grounds.


2.    Mr. Shahrul Nizam Md. Nur

Mr. Shahrul Nizam Md. Nur obtained his degree in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, majoring in Power Engineering from Universiti Sains Malaysia; and Master in Business Administration from UNITEN - Melbourne Business School. He was involved with the High Voltage (HV) equipment and electricity transmission system since he joined TNB in 1998. He gained wide experience in HV substation design from 500kV downstream on various project scopes; and on primary equipment operation and maintenance from 11kV up to 500kV.

He is passionate about power transformers and has been involved in almost all stages of the asset life cycle; from designing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining transformers. He has been part of TNB resource team in specification revision, design review, and failure investigation of power transformers in TNB Transmission for more than 15 years. He was also a part-time trainer for new engineers about HV substation equipment. Besides that, he was also active in other areas such as internal audit, Quality Management System, Safety Excellence Management Systems, and so on. In 2015, he had the opportunity to move to the Human Resource Division, where he was involved with the Change Management team following the organisation-wide transformation project.

He then worked at HR Strategy & Transformation Department in the area of strategy, delivery, compliance and governance. Later he was tasked to be part of the organisation-wide Culture Transformation initiative, crafting the new identity of the organization. Upon successful launch of the new identity of TNB, he was assigned to lead the Talent Management unit to manage the top talents of the company. Shahrul is a graduate of TNB HR Academy as well as Pool of Competent Interviewers of TNB. He was appointed as “Industrial Advisory Panel” by Electrical Engineering Technologist Faculty of Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia (UTHM), and as ELITE@UM fellow at Universiti Malaya. He was also a guest lecturer to MBA students in UM and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM). He was an invited speaker for career talks and forums targeted to university/secondary school students/alumni/student associations. Since last year, he participates as “industrial mentor” in an online forum called “Primed for Success”, held on a weekly basis in helping undergraduates and fresh graduates to be better prepared for employment, on a pro-bono basis. During free time, he enjoys traveling, listening to music, sports, and reading.


3.    Ir. Augusta Lee

Ir. Augusta Lee is a Practising Electrical Engineer with over 15 years of experience in electrical consulting services especially on the design, implementation, and optimisation of renewables and electrical systems. She is mandated as the Treasurer of ESG Malaysia, a non-profit industry body, dedicated to promoting and advancing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles in Malaysia. As a certified sustainability and carbon management professional, she demonstrates her commitment towards environmental stewardship and sustainable development, focusing on ESG design and practices.


4.    Ir. Ts. Dr. Khor Jeen Gee

Ir. Ts. Dr. Khor Jeen Ghee has more than 20 years’ experience in the technology and manufacturing industry. He has held senior engineering management positions in various multinational companies, where he was involved in the design and verification for network processors, embedded processors as well as software development, as well as academic positions as Associate Professor and Associate Dean of Engineering at a UK-based university.

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from University of Leicester, a PhD in Engineering from De Montfort University, UK and a Postgraduate Certificate in Higher Education from University of Nottingham. He is the author of a textbook on the application of Intelligent Systems as well as other research publications in the area of engineering education, microelectronics, power electronics and embedded applications of neural networks.

He is a registered Professional Engineer and Professional Technologist in Malaysia, and Chartered Engineer in UK. He is a past Chairman of the Electronic Engineering Technical Division of Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), and currently leads the IEM Penang Branch sub-committee on STEM. He has been actively involved in STEM initiatives for the past decade where he works on establishing collaboration between government bodies, professional societies and private companies. He is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy UK, an Associate Fellow of the ASEAN Academy of Engineering and Technology and currently serves on the Industrial Advisory Panel for PSDC and UTAR.


5.    Dr. Eu Poh Leng

Dr. Eu Poh Leng has been with Motorola/Freescale/NXP Semiconductors Malaysia for 25 years and has been very actively involved in the development and introduction of new technology and new product in internal and external factories.  She currently leads a team of engineers and site managers, who drive all NTI/NPI development of NXP products with various OSATs around the globe. She has published 69 technical papers and 4 journals externally and owns 23 filed and 11 issued patents. She is recognised as one of the Notable Inventors in NXP. She is also the Vice Chair of IEEE-EPS for Malaysia Chapter from Y2021-2022.


6.    Ms. Ong Jee Lian

With nearly 21 years of experience, she became the Group’s Chief Sustainability Officer in 2020. Since 2021, she also serves as the Executive Director of Gamuda Engineering. Her current focus is on leading Gamuda's sustainability strategy, emphasizing ESG aspects, and forging partnerships with stakeholders for sustainable infrastructure in construction and property. She ensures ESG integration in all business operations, including green financing and sustainability reporting.

Previously, she played a pivotal role in corporate and project communications, overseeing successful strategies for Malaysia's first metro systems, KVMRT Line 1 and Line 2, as Project Delivery Partner with MMC Gamuda. She also held communication positions at Lenovo and UEM Sunrise. In 2022, she was the UN Women Asia-Pacific WEPs award first runner-up in Leadership Commitment. She represented the private sector at the 2023 UN Women Plenary Panel on Asia-Pacific women's economic empowerment.
