COURSE OUTLINE
It is the responsibility of the professional as the Submitting Person to ensure that the fire safety design in buildings complies with the latest regulations, standards and practices. In a previous dialogue between IEM and BOMBA, we have managed to clarify some of the technical issues related to submission of building plans and fire submission. As a continuation to the previous technical forum, IEM is taking the initiative to organize this technical forum session to discuss some of the current development and issues related to fire industry such as implementation of the revised UBBL 1984, insulation for fire lift doors, latest revised and new MS standards related to fire, review of jet fan system and etc. and to disseminate the latest guidelines, design practices and submission requirements that will help reduce the incidences of rejection and non-compliance with the BOMBA’s requirements, as well as to create a good platform and channel for the Engineers to bring forward their technical concerns and issues on current fire safety design requirements which will be complied and forwarded to BOMBA in the future dialogue between IEM and BOMBA.
