SYNOPSIS
This is a hands-on workshop for Android database programming using Android Studio. This hands-on workshop requires participants to learn by building a simple real-life working application utilizing local and syncing with external database.
Course Outline:
• SQLite Local Database • Binding Data to the User Interface • Sharing Data with Content Provider • Syncing with External Database with SyncAdapter
Prerequisites: All participants should know the basic Android applications development using Android Studio

This workshop is intended for software developers interested in developing applications for Android mobile operating system supporting popular Android versions.
BIODATA OF THE SPEAKER
Yap Wen Jiun is a lecturer of engineering mathematics and programming on Raspberry Pi in Multimedia University while conducting research in Internet of Things and smart home. As a Google fan boy, he started Android development since the day of early beta, became the de facto speaker of the community CodeAndroid Malaysia and is now active in Google Developer Group Kuala Lumpur. He received his Bachelor of Engineering, Aerospace in year 2000 and Master of Science, Aerospace in year 2003 from University Putra Malaysia.
