SYNOPSIS

Matrix Quantum Sdn Bhd is an approved Steam Boiler Certificate training school. Engineers attending this technical visit will gain a deeper appreciation of the safety aspects of boilers, derived from the syllabus, which is critical when handling the steam generator operation. The company has various boilers from a 100-year old locomotive steam boiler to the modern boiler at the premises.

Boilers are critical machinery that require certification of fitness, CF and inspections by DOSH officers or licensed person. With the amendment of OSHA 2022, which takes effect on June 1, 2024, new regulations for certificated machinery have been introduced. It is mandatory for industries to comply with these regulations. This visit will provide engineers with a comprehensive understanding of these requirements, including recent updates legislation changes (the Factories Machineries Act Repeal 2022), where boiler inspections may soon be outsourced to licensed officer. The latest status of this recent law change will be provided during the visit.

In addition, participants will be exposed to safety features and safe boilers operation, Information on design approval requirements, statutory inspections, periodic inspections, and other technical aspects will also be shared throughout the program.
