SYNOPSIS

Transportation system is important for sustainability of urban and rural developments. This workshop introduces the innovations for sustainable roads in terms economic, environmental, and social. This includes an overview of World Bank’s Road Economic Development Model and provide step-by-step procedures in using the excel based model in determining economic impact to road users for different type road related decisions.


BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Ir. Azhar Azmi

Ir. Azhar Azmi graduated with Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from University Teknologi Malaysia, Masters in Highway & Transportation from University Putra Malaysia, and currently undertaking doctoral studies. He specializes in pavement engineering and road asset management, with experience in both the industry and academia with current position as Sr. Lecturer at INTI International University. He is currently the Advisor of IEM UEDSIG.
