SYNOPSIS & BIODATA OF SPEAKER

1. Carbon Neutrality Solutions

Carbon neutrality solutions focus on reducing and offsetting carbon emissions to achieve a balance between emitted and absorbed carbon. These solutions involve strategies such as energy efficiency improvements, renewable energy adoption, carbon offset projects like reforestation, and optimizing supply chains for minimal emissions. Companies can implement carbon reduction plans, adopt sustainable technologies, and participate in carbon trading markets to achieve their carbon neutrality goals. The ultimate aim is to mitigate climate change, reduce environmental impacts, and contribute to global sustainability efforts by reaching net-zero emissions.

Speaker Part 1 : Mr. Dennis Wu
Mr. Dennis Wu has nearly 30 years of experience in the financial industry and 10 years of experience in sustainable development. He is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of AEC Group, Founding President of Greater Bay Area Carbon Neutrality Association, Co-Chair of Green and Sustainable Private Equity Working Group under Hong Kong Green Finance Association, Co-Chair of Hong Kong Private Equity Finance Association, a member of the Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD) Working Group, and a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) member.

3. Green & Wellness Building

Green and wellness buildings prioritize environmental sustainability and occupant health. These buildings are designed with energy-efficient systems, renewable materials, and optimized natural light and air quality. Incorporating wellness elements such as biophilic design, non-toxic materials, and spaces that promote mental and physical well-being, these structures aim to create healthier environments for occupants. They follow standards like LEED, WELL, and other green certifications, ensuring reduced environmental impact while enhancing productivity, comfort, and overall well-being for those who live or work in them.

Speaker Part 3 : Ms. Siew Jia Xian
Ms. Siew Jia Xian is an Assistant Consultant at Allied Environmental Consultants (AEC) Malaysia Sdn Bhd. She has participated in a range of projects on solar irradiation studies, daylighting simulations, wind load analyses, and air ventilation assessments.
