SYNOPSIS

This presentation aims to share our assessment on the embodied carbon on transport projects, both underground and elevated structures, and alternatives to advance decarbonisation in our design. This includes strategies like active and passive design techniques, dematerialization efforts, and embracing circular economy principles such as reusing structural steel and concrete. By emphasizing the reuse of materials and integrating waste into concrete production, we aim to significantly mitigate environmental impact and promote a sustainable future for infrastructure development.
