SYNOPSIS
The Subcommittee on Dispute Avoidance and Resolution Practice (DARP) is organizing the 8th Series of the Dispute Avoidance Workshop which is aimed at training Engineers to gain skills in Dispute Avoidance by dealing with ISSUES that arise and resolving such ISSUES expeditiously before they fester and become full-blown DISPUTES.
TOPICS
• Have you ever wondered what would be in the mind of a person when he takes on the role of an Expert? • Does he have the necessary qualifications and how would he be appointed? How could he contribute his expertise in the Court, tribunal or in the report itself? • How could he fence off challenges and how should his conduct be when he meets with the client, counsel, the opposing expert and when giving testimony? • Does he have any codes of conduct or ethics to adhere to?
CASE STUDIES
• We would welcome from participants any case studies or actual related events that they wish to share for discussion in regard to the expert witness scope. • We shall share our experience abundantly with you in the above half day workshop.
