SYNOPSIS

The visits to two (2) major port players in Johor aimed to enhance the networking of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM) and Women Engineers Section (WES) with the Maritime industries, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goal SDG 5 gender equality; SDG 8 decent work, and economic growth especially to our institution; SDG 9: industry, innovation, and infrastructure; and SDG 10 Reduced inequality. It will be an insightful visit, where it will help close the gap between the maritime industries and IEM and will be fruitful session for career growth in ports among the participants. The morning session will start with a visit to Port of Tanjung Pelepas (PTP) which located at Jalan Pelabuhan Tanjung Pelepas Johor, followed by Johor Port Authority or better known as Lembaga Pelabuhan Johor (LPJ) in the evening.
