SYNOPSIS
Why Do I Want To Attend?
1. I want to know the best way to present my experiences in the report so that it can be considered as my engineering experience for Engineering Knowledge Application, Problem Solving, Management, Interpersonal Skill and Professional Ethics. 2. I want to see some of the good examples to follow and bad examples to avoid in my report. 3. I want to know how to be a good mentee and make full use of the mentorship program that is offered to me by the IEM ECD. 4. I want to know the responsibilities of my mentor. 5. I want to meet my potential mentor. I want to know how to choose the most suitable mentor for me. 6. I want to know if I am ready to be a Professional Engineer. 7. As for the mentors, you get to learn your responsibilities and learn how to be the best mentor for your mentees.
SPEAKERS BIODATA
1. Ir. Assoc. Prof. Dr Lee Tin Sin
Ir. Assoc. Prof. Dr Lee Tin Sin is a researcher, Professional Engineer and Associate Professor. He graduated with Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical-Polymer) First Class Honours as well as PhD in Polymer Engineering from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia. He is also the Ordinary Council Member of IEM, Committee Member for Engineering Competency Development and Committee Member for Chemical Engineering Technical Division IEM. He was the recipient of The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia-Young Engineers Award 2012 and The SCEJ (Society of Chemical Engineers, Japan) Award for Outstanding Asian Researcher and Engineer 2018. He was also conferred Pingat Jasa Kebaktian Selangor 2019.
2. Ir. Al-Khairi Mohd Daud
Ir. Al-Khairi Mohd Daud graduated with B. Eng (Hons) degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Leeds UK and holds a MBA from UNITAR. He is a registered professional engineer with practicing certificate with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and a registered Electrical Energy Manager with Energy Commission (EC) and a Professional Energy Manager registered with ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE). He has 30 years of experience in project and maintenance of various plants and facilities especially in healthcare industry. As the chief consultant for energy management consultancy firm, Ir. Al Khairi has conducted many audits and certification assessments to various facilities and installations. He advised and trained facilities management for both government and private sector.
