BIODATA OF SPEAKER

Eur Ing. Ts. Mohamad Sukor Zainal CEng FiMarEST CMarEng is the Technocrat, Leader, Entrepreneur. He is an experienced top-level management with solid track records in the Oil & Gas industry, growing the business, revenue, profit and corporate brand from zero to a significant presence.

Ts. Sukor marked the history as the first-ever honoured recipient of the prestigious ANUGERAH TEKNOLOGIS NEGARA 2023.

In recent achievements, Ts. Sukor is the ICON OF INNOVATION 2022 from UPNM & MOE. He has also been recognized as Top 50 Global Thoughts Leaders 2022 & 2023, Top 100 Business Leaders in Malaysia to follow on LinkedIn, Top VOICES APAC 2023 on Linkedin and Excellence Leadership Award 2022.

Ts. Sukor is awarded the highest recognition from The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) as a Fellow. He is the youngest Malaysian to have received prestigious recognition from the credible institution of IET. Ts. Sukor has also received the Highest Accolade awarded to a professional in the industry as the Fellow of the Institute of Marine Science & Tech (IMAREST), who is one of the youngest fellows appointed.

He is proudly a Chartered Engineer by UK Engineering Council, Prof. Eur. Engineer by FEANI and Chartered Marine Engineer. He is also a Professional Technologist. Panel Assessor & Committee of the MBOT and one of the first pioneers to have received the Ts title in the Oil & Gas Industry in 2017. He has contributed a lot to the growth of Oil & Gas technologists.

Ts. Sukor has also been appointed as Industry Advisory Panel & Adjunct Lecturer of Universiti Teknologi PETRONAS (UTP). He is also the External Advisory Member of Sunway University Business School.

He is also a Corporate Advisor for Pertubuhan Cahaya Hawwa (PERCAYA) and Pertubuhan Pendidikan Kekeluargaan & Pembangunan Masyarakat (PEDIKMA).

In his employment era, he is an A-rating employee and a star performer throughout his employment with the Oilfield Giant, SLB both as an engineer & manager. He quickly burst into management in only 2 years of seniority in the company due to his excellent performance in the company. Under his leadership in SLB, Ts. Sukor has broken & achieved an outstanding 10 Drilling World’s Record.

As a world-class professional, he has developed, nurtured, and produced a number of Malaysian and non-Malaysians engineers, technicians, managers and young leaders throughout his career. He has a strong belief in youth which remains to be the key fundamental ingredient of his success.
