SYNOPSIS
Offshore oil and gas structures are installations in marine environments for exploration and production of hydrocarbon. The types of facilities vary, designed based on environmental parameters, the required functions, as well as estimated service life. The types of installation including bottom fixed structures, rigs, mobile offshore production unit (MOPU) and floating facilities.
This webinar talk equips participants with the fundamental of fixed offshore structures from understanding the structure type classification, its critical components, to the asset life cycle. The discussion will also cover development & design concept, fabrication up until installation of fixed offshore structures.

SOK MOOI, NG (ANGELINE) Principal, Civil & Structural Integrity for Upstream Business, PETRONAS
More than 18 years of experiences in Oil and Gas industry, Mdm Ng is appointed as Principal Engineer for Civil & Structural Integrity of PETRONAS, one of the minority ladies pursuing technical professional. She specializes in offshore structural integrity management covering data, evaluation, strategy and programme execution.
She started her career as Structural Engineer in Peninsular Malaysia Operations taking care a fleet of over 40 offshore facilities including fixed jacket structures, FSO & FPSO. She was later assigned to Development Division involving in green field and brown field development projects including MOPU conversion at fabrication yard. She was also one of the members for PETRONAS decommissioning pilot work group involved in technology evaluation and cost estimation for upstream fleet.
Her extensive experiences in Structural Integrity Management (SIM) of offshore operations including developing digital solutioning for risk evaluation, prioritization and optimization of inspection and maintenance programmes. Passionate about developing young engineers through classroom trainings and coachings.
