SYNOPSIS
Engineers have been known for centuries to find solutions to impossible problems. However, what happens when these solutions become the root cause of safety & quality issues. That is where hygienic engineering comes in – the science of designing & maintaining systems & equipment to prevent contamination.
In the food & beverage industry where the product we generate is consumed directly into the bodies of the users, even the smallest of contamination may result in fatality. It is crucial to ensure that the engineering solutions developed are not only functional & purposeful but easy to clean & sanitize while preventing the spread of harmful substances. This technical talk is designed to guide participants to understand the true nature of hygienic engineering, identify hygienic requirements & solutions whilst ultimately, developing awareness of the importance of designing & implementing hygienic industrial solutions in everyday work life. This way engineers will be empowered to make more informed decisions when executing maintenance tasks like purchasing, repairs, or even cleaning that are more hygienic for their processes & equipment and eventually their consumers including you & I.
