Why Do I Want To Attend?

1. I want to know the best way to present my experiences in the report so that it can be
    considered as my engineering experience for Engineering Knowledge Application,
    Problem Solving, Management, Interpersonal Skill and Professional Ethics.
2. I want to see some of the good examples to follow and bad examples to avoid in my report.
3. I want to know how to be a good mentee and make full use of the mentorship program that is
    offered to me by the IEM ECD.
4. I want to know the responsibilities of my mentor.
5. I want to meet my potential mentor.  I want to know how to choose the most suitable mentor
    for me.
6. I want to know if I am ready to be a Professional Engineer.
7. As for the mentors, you get to learn your responsibilities and learn how to be the best mentor
    for your mentees.


SPEAKERS BIODATA

1. Ir. Abdul Razak bin Yakob

Ir. Razak Yakob is a highly skilled Drilling Engineering Consultant with over 25 years of experience in the oil and gas industry. He has worked with both multinational and local companies, specializing in drilling engineering. Currently, Razak's primary focus is on project management for well decommissioning projects. He is a Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) and serves as a committee member for various committees with the Board of Engineers Malaysia. Additionally, he holds the position of Vice President (2022/2024) and serves as the Advisor for the Oil, Gas & Mining Technical Division at The Institution of Engineers, Malaysia.


2. Ir. Lau Eng Kee

Ir. Benny Lau Eng Kee has 19 years of experiences working in industrial, commercial, and residential projects throughout Peninsular Malaysia, Jakarta, and Kuala Lumpur involving with TRX Master Planning, Plot Development & Design Management; Used to involve in EPCM and EPC Services in Industrial Projects. Currently, he is working in Japanese Project Management Consultant Company.

Ir. Benny is a Professional Engineer with Practicing Certificate (PEPC) and currently serves as a Deputy Chairman of UEDSIG and committee member for various committees in IEM. In additional, Ir. Benny has won Top 5 Mentor in year 2019, 2021 and 2022.
