Nomination of Malaysian Candidates to Represent IEM for the tripartite seminar (IEM-CIE-HKIE) in Malaysia
BACKGROUND
The IEM-CIE-HKIE Tripartite Seminar is an annual seminar aims to create a venue for interactive discussions and sharing of experiences in multi-disciplinary engineering among , the Institution of Engineers, Malaysia (IEM), Chinese Institute of Engineers (CIE, Taiwan) and the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE) . This year, the IEM will be hosting this Tripartite Seminar with the theme “Real-Time Monitoring and Predictive Analytics in Geotechnical Engineering” on 3-4 December 2025 in Wyndham Grand Bangsar Kuala Lumpur.
The theme of the Tripartite Seminar showcase the advancements in real-time monitoring and predictive analytics in geotechnical engineering along with insights from project experiences and emerging technologies.
NOMINATION OF MALAYSIAN CANDIDATES
The Geotechnical Engineering Technical Division (GETD), IEM invites engineers registered with IEM to submit a 300-words abstract and a brief Curriculum Vitae(CV) for the IEM-CIE-HKIE Tripartite Seminar 2025. Three candidates will be selected to represent IEM to present the technical papers in this seminar in Malaysia. The selection process will be based on the abstracts submitted and decision made by the Committee of GETD will be final.
Selected candidates will receive a waiver for the registration fees for the 2nd Malaysian Geotechnical Conference, scheduled to coincide with the seminar. The conference, including a site visit, will take place from 3 to 5 December 2025 and is expected to attract over 100 participants.
Within a period of one month after the seminar, the candidates shall submit a written report (suitable for publication in IEM’s Bulletin) on the event to GETD. The candidates will also be required to repeat the presentation at IEM as a technical talk.
